Far into the Distant Mountains
Where the Majestic Cedar Trees

Guardian he stands, Fearsome Tiresome he is

Weapons they Forge
Blades Axes and Swords
Forged so Only Heroes can Handle
Forged so Only Heroes can Bear

Before the Journey Begun
Before the Warriors Could Venture on
The Oracle of Fate should be Summoned
The Oracle of Fate should Foretell their Fate

A Sacrifice to Offer
And Blood to Predict
A Dark Fate Lies Ahead
But our King is Undiscouraged

So the Journey Begun
The Trip of Heroes on the Way
Fast they Travel, to the Mountains, Where the Cedars Grow

And Magical Dreams
Of What Awaits them
Gilgamesh to Enkidu Would Express

First a Dream of Mountains
The First one Collapse Upon Him
A Second Embrace Him
And a Third that Erupts

But as His Friend Explains
The Guardian who will be Defeated
Unrelenting they Press on
Unfearing Up the Mountains they Climb

Mesmerized by its Grandeur
At the Edge of the Woods they Stand
A Path they Noticed
Will Lead them Into the Heart of the Forest

By the Trail they Strive
Weapons Set Ready to Use
No Sound and no Sign
The Beast Before them Appears and Speakes

“A Barbarian Opponent
Of no Blood Line
Spawn of Animals” to Enkidu I Say

And to you Gilgamesh I say
“Your Head I Should Rip
And the Buzzards and Vultures
On Your Rotting Carcass they Forage

Urging… Each… Other … To Confront (Fight)
The Time of Glory Has Come to Fight
As One Man They Stand Strong
As One Man They Shall Take Him Down

As the Sun God, Gives His Hand in Help
All Winds of the Hill, North South East (and) West
Moaning Blasting Lashing, Contray Dust Swirling
All Circling the Beast, He Could not Charge nor Retreat

Coming… Upom… Him with no Fear
Defeated, no Escape Trapped
Their Prisoner He’s Become, Down on His Knees
His Fate is Held by the Brave King’s Hands

Begging, Crying, Bleeding, the King he Asks
Spare my Life, and a Slave for you I’ll be
But Enkidu Those Words He Utters
Behead, Behead, Behead the Beast

Doomed, a Curse He Unleashed
Upon These Words, the Struck of the Axe
Slayed, the Cedars Down are Cut
A Wooden, Door, to Ishtar they Errect
